We are deeply troubled by divisions we are seeing following the EU referendum, and in the rise in overt racism, which has included abuse to many people, including our friends.
We are an arts and social space situated in a public space in Bradford’ s Kirkgate Market, who are about connecting through creative action. We believe that by coming together to be creative and share ideas and conversation we can imagine and create a better city, and a better world. We are inclusive, flexible and responsive and always open to new ideas and people. Our values are open-ness, respect, tolerance and kindness. Everyone is welcome to visit and join us.
We believe, like the late Jo Cox, that ‘we are far more united have far more in common with each other than the things that divide us”
We feel a urgent need now, to reach out to more people, groups and communities in our amazing city and to work together to counter intolerance and build solidarity and connection with one another.
If you want get involved with us in any way, we would love to hear from you. You can email us at Wurbradford@gmail.com or contact us through facebook or visit us – we are open every Thursday 12-3pm.
Many thanks and much love.
