2016: an inspiring creative start

We had a great kickstart to the year with a fantastic creative diary making session yesterday with Wur artist Uzma Kazi,  talking about the plans, ideas and inspirations for the coming year and making personalised diaries to reflect these.

The session also generated the making of an impromptu zine about the film North by Northwest – see here for how that happened, and to get involved – https://wurblog.wordpress.com/…/07/north-by-north-west-zine/and also plans for making a regular ‘Wur Zine’… all in all a lovely, productive and social session. Thanks everyone who came and contributed.

We were also delighted to be mentioned in an article in The Guardian at the end of December as a reason to be cheerful for 2016 by arts writer, researcher and consultant Susan Jones.

The New Year is bringing  us lots of creative energy and goodwill so far, from Wur artists, visitors and supporters – thank you all, especially Bradford Council and Bradford Markets for their ongoing support- and watch this space as we announce plans for the coming year in the next few weeks. Happy New Year, and onwards and upwards, friends.
